The body functions change in a flash in the sense of providing energy for fight and flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This natural psycho-physical protective mechanism is called \u201esignal anxiety\u201c.<br>But if anxiety has a disease value, it impedes the preponderance of the functions required for a balanced psychic life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anxiety is always classified as pathological if one or more of the following criteria are met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anxiety becomes excessively severe when it occurs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fear is permanent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It occurs on a par with no real danger (panic)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are nonsensical fears of basically harmless things or situations (phobic anxiety, s.u.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"chapter3\">Which factors promote the development of anxiety disorders?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to a number of physical causes \u2013 excluding those should always be prior to the start of psychotherapeutic treatment \u2013 certain personality traits disproportionately often occur in anxiety patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So it can be surmised that these characteristics represent a kind of \u201epersonal vulnerability\u201c, a vulnerability or an increased sensitivity. This can \u2013 especially if the living conditions contribute to it (stress, overwork, unhealthy diet, addiction problems) \u2013 lead to the development of an anxiety disorder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personality traits that may be associated with increased anxiety are, for example:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rigid thought patterns<\/strong>. The tendency to so-called \u201eblack-and-white thinking\u201c usually goes hand in hand with very precise ideas about what one should, should or must not.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Imagination and creativity<\/strong>. Great imagination helps to promote a negative \u201ewhat if?\u201c Attitude.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Excessive need for confirmation<\/strong>. Low self-esteem, fear of rejection, self-esteem is made dependent on other people\u2019s judgment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Perfectionism \/ high self-assertion<\/strong>. Small mistakes and errors are overrated, events are easily judged to be failures or personal failures. \u201eYes, but \u2026\u201c \u2013 sentences often appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Excessive need for control<\/strong>. Outwardly always controlled and calm appearance, spontaneous changes and uncertainties cause great discomfort.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Suppression of negative feelings.<\/strong> Anger and sadness are seen as a sign of a loss of control and denied, also for fear of the disapproval of other people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ignoring physical needs<\/strong>. Fatigue, pain or the need for rest and protection are classified as unimportant and repressed. Physical symptoms are only perceived when they occur massively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, there is a connection between certain <strong>childhood experiences<\/strong> and the increased probability of the occurrence of an anxiety disorder. These childhood experiences include, for. This area of \u200b\u200bthe brain has the task of avoiding the recurrence of&nbsp;danger once experienced by triggering an unconscious and automatic anxiety reaction when encountering the object or the situation again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Often, those affected can not remember the initial triggering situation (\u201eISE \/ Initial Sensitizing Event\u201c) because it occurred when they were very young, mostly under the age of 3. The hippocampus \u2013 the brain structure, which is mainly associated with the creation and storage of memories \u2013 matures much more slowly than the \u201edanger storage unit\u201c amygdala.
